NOTICE TO PATIENTS AND FAMILIES

Please read the information below. All doctors and staff in the clinic are triple-vaccinated.

If you or your child is unwell

Please call us and advise us as early as possible. If your appointment was booked as a face-to-face, we can change this to a Telehealth appointment instead.

Face to Face / Physical Appointments

If your doctor feels that a face-to-face consultation is appropriate, we ask that you attend the practice with only the child and one parent/guardian.  Please ring the buzzer at the door and notify reception that you have arrived. You will then be asked some questions about your health, before being admitted to the building The waiting room is open to the public in a limited capacity. Please DO NOT enter the rooms if you (or your child) are unwell in any way.

Telehealth Appointments

Alternatively, your doctor may ask that your appointment is conducted via a video link, called a Telehealth appointment. You may access the link from our TELEHEALTH page. Doctor O’Brien is conducting the majority of his consultations by telehealth.

Payments

We have moved to a pre-authorisation of payment process using Medipass and all consultation fees must be pre-approved at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If you do not have a credit/debit card, you can ask for your doctor’s bank account details for a direct deposit (please note this will also need to be processed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment and proof of the transfer forwarded to our email). In order to receive a rebate from Medicare, the Medicare regulations state that the patient (child for Paediatric) must be in attendance, either in person or on the video-link or telephone call. If you do not wish the child to be present, then the doctor will charge a Parent-only charge with no Medicare rebate. Telehealth may be on your computer/laptop/tablet/smartphone from anywhere at all eg. home, work, car, school.

Late Cancellation/Non-Attendance Fee

Failure to attend an appointment, or cancellation without giving sufficient notice (less than 2 working days) may attract a fee, at the doctor’s discretion.

Thank you for your cooperation.
